Joseph

I read a devotion earlier that somehow pieces together my current thoughts and things that I’ve been shown when I was little. I have no idea the reference or the meaning except that things happen and God somehow turns them around and works them out for our good.

The story was that of Joseph.

The cliche story of familiarity.

Most of Josephs life he is given exemplary treatment to be treated not so great by those closest to him. He is lied on and basically thrown away never to be thought of again. He was sold into slavery. And what do you know. A woman lies on him and says he tried to rape her! It really boils my blood when I hear stuff like that even today.

I have my issues that I will eventually overcome dealing with trust because of my past. I was lied to so much its sickening. Like really? Like it was a necessary dietary requirement. I was made to feel that I was the one in the wrong. In most all situations.

It was really just a pain.

Even now to think about all the drama behind the conversations. My simple goal was to get along. That’s it. I have been upset and annoyed on multiple occasions because I feel I am bearing the responsibility of my kids on my own. I do not take it lightly though. Things could be worse. I am thankful that I have them and that they are happy for the most part. I thank God that things we’ve had to deal with growing up they won’t have to. And if they have to, then it won’t take as long to be delivered from it.

I pray that they all will have a personal relationship with God and depend and love Him with their whole heart. So the devotion I have added below for reference.

It is really amazing to me the care and attention God gives us each individually. The little things like showing me that He hears me and wants me to know that He is thinking about me and loves me just as I am is so…I can’t even think of a word….Awesome! There we go! Thank you Lord.

Just noticed only need six more words to reach 5000!
